Starkville in Motion hosted a bike corral at the Cotton District Arts Festival on Saturday, April 17, 2010.
Festival-goers were able to avoid traffic and park safely and conveniently close to the center of the action.Dozens of bicyclists took advantage of this free service, riding in on road bikes, mountain bikes, cruisers, recumbents, and one family on a triple bike. Several SIM members also came out to help with the corral. It was a fun way to meet and talk with folks who care about transportation alternatives. SIM hopes to continue to provide bike parking at other events in Starkville in the coming year.
